Fruitful consortium meeting in Eibar
The EEETHOS consortium held its 4th General Assembly in the Basque country at the premises of Tekniker in Eibar, Spain.
Just as the region had gone through an industrial transformation, Europe now faces a similar obstacle. With EEETHOS we are working on a greener, more sustainable future for the continent by electrifying and decarbonising the heating of Europe’s process industries, and we are on track to achieve significant impact.
On 5-6 May 2026, the EEETHOS partners came together to review the overall project progress, timeline and next steps. The discussions focused on the core technical developments across the project, with dedicated sessions on:
– Framework development and cross-cutting optimisation
– Asphalt demonstrator
– Ceramics demonstrator
– Pulp and paper demonstrator
– Brick drying demonstrator
– Steel demonstrator
It was an opportunity to participate in a dedicated standardisation workshop led by University of Stuttgart, bringing together demonstrator and digital twin leaders to discuss integration and future scalability of the EEETHOS solutions.
Partners visited Tekniker’s research facilities and discovered their technological capabilities and ongoing research activities. Productive exchanges focused on the advancements of cross-cutting models, technology development and process optimisation, maximising the impact of EEETHOS.
